Dr. Nock’s Training And Experience

Dr. Nock is more than a dentist. He has been trained as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, a specialty of the dental profession. You will not have your teeth cleaned or plaque removed during your visit to Dr. Nock. Seeing Dr. Nock means that you are going to be working with a specialist whose sole focus is addressing your specific concern as quickly, efficiently and painlessly as possible. Dr. Nock has 25 years of experience with extractions, wisdom teeth, implants and facial injuries. He knows that problems with your teeth can be nerve racking and painful. Dr. Nock has the skills and experience to make your visit as pain-free and comfortable as possible, while making sure you are on the way to recovery quickly.



With specialized knowledge in pain control and advanced training in anesthesia, Dr. Nock is able to provide quality care with maximum patient comfort and safety in the office setting. Dr. Nock cares for patients who experience such conditions as problem wisdom teeth, facial pain, and misaligned jaws. He treats accident victims suffering facial injuries and offers reconstructive and dental implant surgery.

To become an Oral Surgeon, Dr. Nock attended Western State College and then went on to complete his undergraduate degree at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1985, Dr. Nock completed a four-year graduate degree in dentistry from the Dental School at the University of Colorado. After completing his DDS degree, Dr. Nock completed a General Practice residency at Colorado University Sands clinic. Dr. Nock continued his education beyond the standard dentistry training in pursuit of the additional learning necessary to specialize in Oral Surgery. In 1987, he moved to Oakland, California to complete a four-year residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Highland General Hospital.

Dr. Nock works hard to stay abreast of the latest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery and participates in regular continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. He is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

While Dr. Nock has been practicing oral surgery in Grand Junction since 1991, he has many interest outside of the office. He enjoys the outdoors, whether running with his dog, climbing, biking, skiing or golfing.
